The POWH Homeless Ministry was started by four young ladies who felt a burden during the 2007 North American Youth Congress to help our community. Their desire to do something for our community has grown and flourished into a ministry that has fed over 9,000 meals. Twice monthly, over 30 young people sacrifice their Saturday to help and feed those less fortunate. The POWH youth first prepare lunches and then travel to downtown Houston where they feed and minister to the homeless. The POWH youth group returns with a humble spirit and new understanding of how blessed they are.
