August 11, 2007

Yesterday was our final day at North American Youth Congress. We started the day early attending the 9:30 AM service. The morning session concluded with a powerful message from Bro. Danny Rivers. After service, the Youth group went to an area mall for some shopping.

The evening service featured singing by IBC Praise. We were able to see our own Bro. D.A. and Bro. Travis perform before a packed house of 16,000 youth, Bro, Todd Gaddy our General Youth President preached the closing message.

We will be departing Charlotte at 7:00 AM and should arrive back at POWH early Sunday morning.

August 10, 2007

Thursday we attended services until mid-day. During the morning break-out session the Youth group split into several groups. Some attending the Senior High session and others sitting in on the Youth Ministers session. After the morning services Bro. Gabe and Sis. Christi Castillo joined us for lunch at a Chinese buffet.

Bro. Brent Keating, from Houston Texas was the evening speaker. During alter call the POWH Youth department prayed and encouraged each other and was one of the last groups to leave the arena.

August 09, 2008

Last night we attended a powerful service along with 11,000 other youth from across America. There was a dynamic worship and praise service followed by a message from Bro. Joel Urshan. He preached on Lively Stones. We also were able to meet up with Bro. Gabe and Sis. Christi Castillo. After service, we went out to eat and got back to our hotel at 2:30 AM! We are up and at it this morning and going to attend the morning sessions. Later this afternoon we will return to the hotel for some much needed rest and get ready for this evenings service.

We arrived at our hotel at 11:15 this morning. The remainder of the morning was spent checking into our rooms, taking the long awaited shower and resting. This afternoon we have ordered pizza and are preparing for the evening service.

August 07, 2008

We're off! We departed POWH at 12:15 today. 44 kids, 9 adults and lots and lots of luggage! Before we departed, we met in the POWH sanctuary and Pastor Lewis prayed the Lord's protection on our trip. Our first stop was near Baton Rouge Louisiana for dinner.
